It was finals day in Beijing today but before the medal games came the semi finals. The BC1 competition was dominated by the Thai athletes. Pattaya Tadtong made short work in his game with David Smith. Tadtong went 5-0 up after 2 and cruised to an overall 8-0 victory. In the other semi final Witsanu Haudpradit looked to have his work cut out against Soulanis. An incredible 3rd end saw Haudpradit take a commanding 7-1 lead in the third and was able to cruise into a final with his fellow countryman.

BISFed 2016 World Individual Championships Semi Finalists Confirmed!

Greg Polychronidis competition ended in dissapointment. His Japanese opponent took the first end 4-0 but Greg continued to fight! He eventually lost 6-1 and the man from Japan moved on into the semi final. On the adjacent court Jamie McGowan was taking on his toughest BC3 opponent to date. Yejin Choi (Korea) was many peoples favorite going into the competition. Choi took the first 2 ends to take a 4-0 lead but McGowan played a superb 3rd end to take a 5-4 lead into the last. Howon Jeong, Yejin Choi and Hansoo Kim all won their games and advance into the quarter finals. The GB athletes will be hoping that they can spoil the Korean party but the man with the best chance is Greg Polychronidis (Greece). He found himself 3-5 down going in to the last end but he showed his class and eventually beat Aleksander Legostaev (Russia) 6-5.
