Following the success of the 2014 Boccia World Championships in Beijing, BISFed held its first General Assembly meeting on Sunday 28th September, also in Beijing. 30 of BISFed’s 51 Member nations attended the General Assembly.

Sport:80 has signed an agreement with BISFed, the new IPC-recognised federation that governs the Paralympic sport of Boccia, to build and maintain a bespoke membership management and events system.
BISFed was accepted as a full member of the IPC at the General Assembly meeting in Athens on 23rd November 2013. The photo shows IPC President Sir Philip Craven handing the Certificate to BISFed President David Hadfield.
In the words of the IPC President, Sir Philip Craven, the London 2012 games were the best Paralympic Games ever. And so it proved for Boccia which consistently attracted the biggest ever crowds, anxious to see the game being played at the highest level of skill
